DescriptionUnder close supervision performs specialized clerical duties involving maintenance, compilation, retrieval, and distribution of all police and fire related paperwork in accordance with Federal and State laws. Reports to the Records Supervisor.
ExperienceHigh school graduate with two to four months of clerical, secretarial and/or data entry experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Physical RequirementsMust be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines, which includes a computer, typewriter, adding machine, copier, paper shredder, etc. Must be able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for periods of time. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of ten to fifteen pounds.
